We are approaching the end of July…the peak of those lazy, hazy days of summer. Definitely hazy with the wildfires out west harming air quality around the country, but not so lazy as we still digest the PFS.
2022 Physician Fee Schedule Ongoing Updates
In case you missed our webinar last week on first impressions of the 2022 PFS Proposal, please
find the recording here. As mentioned previously, expect to hear more information as our team
continues to dive into the details of the proposal and identifies implications for Aledade practices.
In the meantime, if you have comments on any of the proposed items and you’d like to submit
directly to CMS, you can do so online (search CMS-1751-P on this link and click on “Comments”)
or by mail. We’d also love to hear your thoughts and needs directly so we can include your voice in Aledade’s official comment letter. You can write to us directly at [email protected]. The deadline to comment is September 13, 2021.
Provider Relief Fund Updates
Any practice that received more than $10,000 from the Provider Relief Fund between April 10,
2020 and June 30, 2020 must submit a report to HHS detailing the use of these funds by
September 30, 2021. You can check whether this applies to you by looking for your practice here.
The portal for reporting can be found here as well as a detailed video and guide on how to submit the report. There is also a list of allowable expenses under different categories. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us or contact HHS’ support line at 866-569-3522.
Public Health Emergency Renewed
On July 19, HHS officially renewed the PHE. This extension is effective starting July 20 and will go for 3 months. Current telehealth flexibilities continue to be in place.
