Aledade Adds Danny Krifcher as Chief Commercial Officer

November 25, 2020

Bethesda, MD – Today, Aledade, Inc. announced the appointment of Danny Krifcher as the company’s first Chief Commercial Officer. A technology and health care business leader, Krifcher has deep experience growing companies in industries facing rapid transformation. Krifcher joins Aledade from Avalere Health, where he was an Executive Vice President.

“There are few business leaders who have such deep experience scaling businesses that are transforming entire sectors, and Danny has done it two different industries,” said Dr. Farzad Mostashari, CEO and co-founder of Aledade. “He will lead Aledade’s continued growth into new markets, patient populations, and partnerships.”

As Chief Commercial Officer, Krifcher will manage Aledade’s new partnerships and value-based arrangements across the country. Krifcher will be responsible for identifying new opportunities in the rapidly emerging value-based health care industry. His leadership will benefit providers and patients in Aledade’s new and existing markets.

“Putting independent primary care physicians at the center of the patient experience is the fundamental insight driving Aledade’s approach to health care and is no less revolutionary than those first dial-up connections to the Internet more than 20 years ago,” said Krifcher. “I am thrilled to be joining the team.”

Krifcher most recently was an Executive Vice President at Avalere Health, where he oversaw the company’s Data Analytics Practice, Sales Organization, and Business Intelligence Unit. Krifcher was also responsible for corporate functions including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Technology, and Legal. He played a major role in managing the transition when, in September 2015, Inovalon completed the acquisition of Avalere Health for $140 million.

Before his time with Avalere, Krifcher co-founded and served as the CEO of Wellbridge Health, a company dedicated to care management and reducing hospital re-admissions for chronically ill elderly populations. From 1994 until 2005, Krifcher was an executive at America Online, where his roles included serving as EVP and COO of the AOL Dial-Up Business, and, SVP, Corporate Operations, leading the development of AOL’s corporate strategy

A Pittsburgh native, Krifcher graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.

ABOUT ALEDADE

Aledade provides data analytics and user-friendly technology to help doctors provide more seamless care, unparalleled regulatory expertise, the best practices shared by a national network of hundreds of doctors, and face-to-face practice transformation support. Based in Bethesda, MD, Aledade is led by CEO and co-founder Dr. Farzad Mostashari, former National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Since its founding in 2014, Aledade has established successful organizations in New York, Delaware, Maryland, Arkansas, West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Virginia, and Kansas, which care for more than 100,000 patients.
