Great Place To Work Names Aledade to 2023 Best Workplaces for Parents List

December 15, 2023

Bethesda, Md. — December 15, 2023 — Great Place To Work® has selected Aledade for the 2023 Best Workplaces for Parents™ List. This is Aledade’s fourth time being named to this prestigious list, this year coming in at No. 7 out of the top 30 small- and medium-sized companies nationwide. Earning a spot means that Aledade is one of the best companies for parents to work for in the country.

“At Aledade, we’re continually evaluating our policies and programs  to see how we can holistically support all of our employees,” says Jessica Gladden, Senior Vice President of People Strategy & Operations. “We are so proud to receive this award and support the parents of Aledade Nation, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to Aledade families in 2024 and beyond.”

In addition to being primarily remote, Aledade offers 12 weeks of fully paid Parental Leave for all new parents; robust paid time off (21 days in the first year); health, dental and vision insurance paid up to 80% for employees, dependents and domestic partners; flexible hours and a six-week sabbatical after six years of service as part of its competitive benefits package.

To determine the Best Workplaces for Parents, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of over 612,000 employees with parenting responsibilities who work for Great Place To Work Certified™ companies that employ at least 50 working parents.

“Now that my kids are older and have a lot of after-school activities, I appreciate the flexibility to get them where they need to go in the late afternoons and early evenings, take calls from the car when needed and make it all work,” says Reena Samantaray, Senior Vice President, Business Operations at Aledade. “I know that Aledade will support me if I need to pop out to a school holiday concert mid-day or volunteer in one of my children’s classrooms. It’s a gift to not have to pick between work and those special moments with my family.”

The Best Workplaces for Parents list is highly competitive. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determines its lists using its proprietary For All™ Methodology to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, with over 1.3 million survey responses received this year, representing the experiences of more than 7.5 million employees.

In addition to employee feedback, Great Place To Work collected company data on industry, revenue, employee demographics, parental leave, adoption benefits, flexible scheduling, and more. Winning companies were those that offered the most positive outcomes for working parents regardless of job role, race, gender, sexual orientation, work status, or other demographic identifier.

“It’s hard to give your all for a company when you struggle to care for your family,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “These companies know that caring for the needs of workers leads to increased productivity, performance, and innovation velocity — must-haves for businesses today.”
